My Horse Painter Blog
You are now able to not only watch paintings come to life, but to offer your thoughts and comments on the process or to ask questions about my methods and techniques by visiting my new blog at Carrie L. Lewis Horse Painter.
Current updates include step-by-step demonstrations on two current portraits and news and information from the studio.
Express Clydesdales
Robert A. Funk, founder and CEO of Express Personnel Services, first encountered Clydesdales on a trip to Canada in 1996. He purchased eight rare black and white Clydesdales and sent them to his ranch in Yukon, Oklahome and Express Clydesdales was born.
There are now over 40 black clydesdales of all ages at Express Clydesdales, including a traveling hitch that has appeared at such prestigious events as the Rose Parade, the National Clydesdale show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Professional Bull Rider's World Finals.
If you get a chance to see them perform, I encourage you to take it. They are an awesome and awe-inspiring team.
If you live in the Yukon area or will be traveling through, give the farm a call. If they are open, the experience will be worth the trip!
Signature Canvas
Signature Canvas began with a dream to manufacture the absolute best quality canvas for artists at affordable prices.
Over the past 10 years, Signature Canvas has changed and refined their processes and today can proudly say that their canvases are absolutely the best quality products on the market.
Their mission remains providing artists in all corners of the United States and Canada with expertly made canvases that delight and enrich their artistic experience.
As an avid fan of the wide variety of made-to-order canvas products and other supports produced by Signature, I'm happy to recommend them personally. Whether you are a traditional professional artist or a casual painter you will always enjoy the surface, texture, overall look and substantial feel of a Signature Canvas.
M. Graham Oils
M. Graham Oil colors are the only oil paints I use. They feature exceptional luminosity and quality.
M. Graham Oils are ground with walnut oil, which is non-toxic and safe to use in any situation. Walnut Oil can also be used to clean brushes, create glazes and for nearly any other purpose that usually require solvents or paint thinners.
Dave Ramsey
If you are serious about reducing or eliminating debt altogether, I invite you to visit Dave Ramsey's web site and check out his Financial Peace University and Total Money Make Over programs. I have read both of his books (New York Times best sellers, both of them!) and have been working both of the programs with my husband and Dave's no-nonsense, common sense approach to handling money works in all economies and at all income levels.
